Mission Statement and Description
To provide human resource services to employees, public and private entities, and all other citizens in order that the County’s workplace is free from any discriminatory practices, all personnel actions are fair and equitable, and to provide staff assistance to management to ensure successful administration and execution of personnel policies, procedures, and programs.
The Human Resources Department is responsible for ensuring that the County operates a fair personnel system. The department oversees talent recruitment as well as benefit administration, disciplinary actions, and training programs for employees. The department also develops and enforces County policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal law.

- Improve employee job satisfaction by developing formal and informal programs for staff awards and recognition.
- Attract and retain top talent by providing competitive wages and benefits and setting clear and consistent expectations for professional development.
- Create an organizational culture that emphasizes excellence in customer service by defining customer service expectations for all staff.
