Crashes on Mesa County roadways affect residents and visitors every day. Some crashes are minor, while others change lives in an instant. The Regional Transportation Planning Office works with local partners to reduce serious crashes in Mesa County. Dedication to ensuring every journey ends safely, whether behind the wheel, on a bike, or on foot, remains a top priority.

Explore the data: Mesa County Crash Data Dashboard

Building a safer system requires a clear understanding of crash trends. The Mesa County Crash Data Dashboard is a new, interactive tool designed to provide the community with a snapshot of local transportation safety trends. By visualizing where crashes occur and identifying contributing factors such as speed, impairment, or weather, this dashboard helps make data-driven decisions about safety improvements.

Three ways you can help make Mesa County safer

  1. Safety is a shared responsibility. Whether you drive, ride, bike, walk or roll, every decision on the road plays a role in protecting lives.
  2. Get Involved. Be a safety champion, attend community events and join local efforts to promote safe driving, biking, and walking.
  3. Spread the Word. Share safety messages with family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors. Small actions, like reminding a loved one to buckle up or put their phone away while driving, can save lives.
