Mesa County has applied for a grant from the Federal Highway Administration to install electric vehicle charging stations.

The grant program is open to state and local governments, tribes, planning organizations, transportation providers, and territories. Mesa County is seeking a federal award of $8,040,490.00, with a local match of $2,010,122.00, making the project's estimated cost $10,050,612.00.

Mesa County's proposal falls under the Community Charging track, prioritizing public roads, schools, parks, and accessible parking facilities.

If successful, this grant will allow us to install electric vehicle charging stations at various locations on county-owned property.

Stay tuned for updates as we work toward securing this grant and expanding access to electric vehicle charging in Mesa County.
