No Burn Advisory

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory from Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. until Monday, June 15 at 9 p.m. due to fire danger. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

As you prepare for crisp fall hikes or park walks with your pup during the perfect hiking season in the Grand Valley, don’t forget the leash! Walking your dog off-leash in public areas is illegal unless you're in a designated off-leash space.

Mesa County's leash laws require dogs to be on a leash no longer than 10 feet in all city and county public areas and parks. When following these rules, you help keep our parks fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone — two-legged and four-legged alike!

Let’s all do our part this season to protect our community, our dogs, and the beautiful spaces we enjoy.

Leash up. Stay safe. Protect our parks.
