Mesa County Commissioners advocate for our community in Washington, DC
Mesa County Commissioners Bobbie Daniel and JJ Fletcher joined more than 60 local leaders from across Colorado in Washington, DC, this week for the National Association of Counties (NACo) Legislative Conference.
During the conference, commissioners met with Colorado’s Senators and Representatives to advocate for the needs of counties across the state. These meetings provided an opportunity to discuss key issues affecting Mesa County, from infrastructure and public lands to economic development and local governance.
Engaging with federal leaders is important in ensuring Mesa County’s voice is heard on national issues that directly impact our region. The commissioners’ participation in NACo’s Legislative Conference reflects their ongoing commitment to advocating for local priorities and strengthening partnerships at every level of government.
