Newly elected and re-elected County Commissioners will take oath Jan. 14
Mesa County Commissioners Cody Davis and JJ Fletcher will officially take office on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The swearing-in ceremony will start at 8 a.m. in the old Mesa County Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave., public hearing room on the second floor.
Mesa County voters re-elected Cody Davis for District 1 County Commissioner and elected JJ Fletcher for District 3 County Commissioner.
“It is an incredible honor and privilege to have the continued confidence of the voters here in Mesa County,” Mesa County Commissioner Cody Davis said. “Thank you for trusting me to continue representing our community. I am deeply committed to serving with dedication and integrity as we continue to build a stronger, better future for Mesa County together.”
“I am blessed and humbled to have been elected to serve the people of Mesa County,” said Mesa County Commissioner-elect JJ Fletcher. “With optimism and determination, I look forward to uniting our community and working tirelessly on behalf of every resident.”
County Commissioners serve for four years and can serve up to two terms. Their primary functions are to be the county’s policy-making body and oversee its budgetary processes to provide public services desired by the citizens of Mesa County.
