Watch Mesa County Commissioners take the oath of office
Mesa County swore in Commissioners Cody Davis and JJ Fletcher during a formal ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025. The ceremony took place in the Commissioners' Public Hearing Room at the old Mesa County Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave., Grand Junction.
Chief Judge Brian Flynn of the 21st Judicial District Court administered the oath of office to both commissioners. Commissioner Bobbie Daniel emceed the ceremony, reflecting on the importance of public service and the shared vision for Mesa County's future.
Taking the oath of office were:
- Cody Davis – Re-elected Mesa County Commissioner, District 1
- JJ Fletcher – Newly elected Mesa County Commissioner, District 3
Commissioner Davis begins his second term with a continued commitment to economic development, infrastructure improvement, and community engagement. Commissioner Fletcher steps into his new role, bringing fresh perspectives and a dedication to serving the residents of Mesa County.
