The Lighthouse Program is driven through community partnerships
The Lighthouse Program often collaborates with community organizations to provide holistic support to youth and families.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- School District 51
- Law Enforcement Agencies within Mesa County
- Department of Human Services in Colorado
- Hilltop Youth Services - Family Resource Center
- Mesa County Partners
- Ariel Clinical Services
- Health Solutions West
- Riverside Education Center
- Western Slope Center for Children
- Colorado Mesa University
- Family treatment providers
- Individual counselors/therapists
The Lighthouse Program partners with youth who are at risk of dropping out of school, getting involved in criminal activities or struggling with substance use. The goal is to prevent through comprehensive support, services and education for youth and their families.
All of the above agencies can act as referral sources for youth and families in need of support from the Lighthouse Program. Most of these organizations also play additional support roles. For example, our partnership with School District 51 allows us to keep up with a youth’s attendance and grades. Mesa County Partners allows our youth to repair harm through a restorative justice approach by doing community service. Our partnership with Colorado Mesa University allows our program to be housed in an on-campus office and to provide youth with a college student mentor who can support the youth in tutoring and pro-social activities.
A huge thank you to all of our partners within the community! Find more information about the Lighthouse Program on mesacounty.us.
