What is the Lighthouse Program?
The Lighthouse Program is a voluntary, preventative program for youth ages four through 11 who are at risk of developing behaviors such as substance use, dropping out of high school or entering the juvenile justice or child welfare systems.
The mission of the Lighthouse Program is to support youth at risk of such behaviors. The goal is to provide necessary interventions and supports to assist in making sustainable changes through intensive case management, education for youth and their families and a combination of internal and external resources.
Eligibility for the Lighthouse Program and individual case supervision are determined based on the needs of the client. The Lighthouse program also partners with Colorado Mesa University to provide student mentors to youth needing extra support and engagement in pro-social activities.
