During the July 1 public hearing, the Mesa County Commissioners approved a $537,862 contract to complete the Pioneer Village Drainage Improvements Project, which will enhance drainage conditions in the Pioneer Village Subdivision and prevent localized flooding.

The project goal is to retrofit the subdivision with a storm network and detention chamber that will capture storm runoff and improve the conditions that contribute to flooding, meeting Mesa County’s drainage criteria.

Roadwork will occur within the right-of-way of Pioneer Village Circle South in its entirety and within portions of 32 Road when the project begins. Additionally, construction activities will extend onto the private property at 575 32 Road.

Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses.
