The Mesa County Justice Center Annex Design and Engineering Project will move forward after the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved a $2.67 million contract with Roth Sheppard Architects to design the proposed annex addition to the existing Mesa County Justice Center at their April 8 public hearing

With the potential addition of an annex, we strive to meet the evolving needs of our legal system and provide the best services to our community as it continues to grow. The approximately 107,520-square-foot proposed annex would offer ample space for the Sheriff's Office, District Attorney’s Office, and judicial functions.

A $715,000 grant from the Colorado Judicial Department Underfunded Courthouse Facility Cash Fund Commission, ratified during the Jan. 28 public hearing, will partially fund the Design and Engineering project.

Moving forward with the Justice Center Annex Design and Engineering Project reflects Mesa County’s commitment to planning for the future — ensuring our justice system has the space to serve a growing community with efficiency, accessibility, and care.
