2025 Mesa County Community Summit to spark inspiration through collaboration
The Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) is proud to present the 2025 Community Summit, returning for its third year on Oct. 6–7 at Colorado Mesa University, 1455 N 12th St. This year’s theme, Inspire, highlights the people and practices that bring hope, resilience and innovation to our community.
The Summit is designed to bring together caseworkers, educators, caregivers, advocates, mental health professionals, service providers, nonprofit leaders and foster and kinship families. Over two days, participants will have the opportunity to connect across sectors, share ideas and build partnerships that strengthen outcomes for children and families.
Attendees can expect to walk away with fresh perspectives and renewed energy for their work. The Summit provides a unique chance to step away from daily routines, hear powerful stories of resilience and reflect on the bigger picture.
“Beyond professional development, the Community Summit creates a space for collaboration and relationship-building,” says MCDHS Child Welfare Director Joe Kellerby. “It encourages dialogue across different fields, ensuring that children and families in Mesa County benefit from a stronger, more connected network of support to ensure our children, youth and families have the best opportunity to be safe and stable.”
The event is hosted in partnership with the Mesa County Department of Human Services, Western Colorado Community Foundation and Lighthouse Program.
