The Adult Protective Services (APS) team at Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) recently wrapped up its Hygiene and Essential Items Drive. The drive focused on collecting everyday necessities for individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability in our community.

Over the course of the drive, MCDHS staff donated a wide range of items, including hygiene products, new socks, blankets, towels and cold-weather essentials. Donations were delivered to local partner agencies that provide critical, front-line services such as Sunshine Community, Solidarity Not Charity, Grand Valley Catholic Outreach and Homeward Bound Pathways Shelter.

This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to collaboration and community partnership. By working alongside local nonprofits and service providers, the department helps strengthen the safety net for adults who may be at risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation.

MCDHS thanks all who donated as well as our community partners
