The 2025 Mesa County Community Summit is now accepting speaker proposals. Please consider joining us this October 6 and 7 at Colorado Mesa University as we bring together child welfare professionals, caregivers, educators and advocates from across the region around this year’s theme: Inspire. Whether you’re leading in your field, supporting others behind the scenes or have a story worth sharing, this is your chance to be part of something bigger.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking passionate, practical and personal presentations that explore what inspiration looks like in your work and your world. We especially welcome sessions grounded in lived experience and those with clear takeaways that connect with the heart. Topics might include:

  • Resilience and recovery
  • Leadership and team building
  • Community collaboration
  • Equity and belonging
  • Healing through adversity
  • Creative solutions and innovation

How to Submit

To propose a session, email childwelfaresummit@mesacounty.us by July 31, 2025, with a proposed session title, brief summary (250 words or less) and your name and a short bio.

If selected, you’ll receive free registration for up to two presenters, plus full support on scheduling and logistics. Notifications will go out by August 15, 2025.
