Are you considering adoption or looking for resources to support your journey? Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) is hosting a series of adoption training sessions to provide guidance, expert insights and community support.

Training schedule:

Session #1: 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27th (virtual link)

Join the MCDHS Adoption Team for an overview of the adoption process, FAQs and what to expect along the way.

Session #2: 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10th (virtual link)

Hear from the MCDHS Therapy Team, featuring:

  • Bryan Conklin on attachment and family systems
  • Domenica Steele on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)

Session #3: 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24th (in-person & virtual link)

Meet in the MCDHS Room 1060 for this final session on family empowerment, post-adoption support and valuable resources for adoptive families.
