No Burn Advisory

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory from Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. until Monday, June 15 at 9 p.m. due to fire danger. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

We know throwing batteries in the trash is easy, but those items can cause fires in our landfills and contaminate our groundwater. Instead, take your leftover paint, batteries, light bulbs, motor oil, and toxic household cleaners to the Hazardous Waste Collection Facility located at the Mesa County Landfill.

You can drop off small amounts of those items for FREE! You can even buy mixed paint and unused chemicals that others have dropped off at deeply discounted prices.

We also recycle electronics for a fee per pound.

Please visit our hazardous waste webpage for a list of what we accept and allowable quantities.

We are open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Help keep Mesa County clean!
