Connect to apprenticeships at MCWFC
MCWFC can help connect individuals to apprenticeships in the state. We focus on career seeker or apprentice needs, especially those facing employment barriers, by ensuring that they are aware of apprenticeship programs, have the resources and referrals to enroll in the program, and the support necessary to complete it and understand their career pathway.
Our Career Development Program (CDP) helps connect participants with apprenticeship opportunities, assists with funding for related instruction, provides supportive services, and reimburses employers for on-the-job training. CDP assisted 15 participants in registered pre-apprenticeships this year, with numerous others participating in pre-apprenticeships that are currently applying to be registered. Pre-apprenticeships enable participants to be well-prepared to enter an apprenticeship and achieve success.
Community impact of apprenticeships
- In the last two years, MCWFC has financially supported more than 100 apprentices.
- We have reimbursed employers over $87,000 for on-the-job training.
- We have invested nearly $70,000 in tuition, training and supportive services for participants.
- This year, 15 participants registered for pre-apprenticeships, preparing them for successful careers.
