Stage 1 Fire Restrictions enacted

Effective beginning 12:01 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, until further notice. These restrictions apply to all private land and BLM managed public lands within the boundaries of the Grand Junction Field Office. For more information visit the Fire Restrictions webpage.

The Ballot Verifier Tool offers a user-friendly interface that allows anyone to view and verify cast ballots dating back to November 2023.  Members of the public can access election data directly without needing to submit a formal public records request to the Mesa County Clerks' office. Previously, obtaining such information required waiting several days and paying a fee. Now, voters can view, download, and even run their own “citizen count” anytime, right from the tool.

This new feature marks a significant step forward in bringing greater transparency to the election process and ensures that Mesa County’s elections are open to scrutiny and verification. The tool effectively serves as a third-party audit, allowing anyone to cross-check the recorded ballot counts against the official results. This is a step forward in providing the people with their records and bringing even more transparency into our elections.
