Stage 1 Fire Restrictions enacted

Effective beginning 12:01 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, until further notice. These restrictions apply to all private land and BLM managed public lands within the boundaries of the Grand Junction Field Office. For more information visit the Fire Restrictions webpage.

When do you need this Permit?

Work impacts Aerial Space of a Mesa County Right-of-Way

It's required to obtain a permit if any of the following are impacted:

  • Overhead power lines
  • Telephone lines
  • Fiber optic lines

Regulations and rules

  • Apply for the permit at least 15 working days prior to starting your project.
  • You may be required to submit:
    • Traffic Control Plan prepared by a certified Traffic Control Supervisor.
    • Written narrative of your work.

  • Fill out the required fields in the form
  • Press the “Register” button at the bottom of the form.
  • You will be taken to the online permit application form.
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your permit application.
