Mesa County, in coordination with Valley Pavement Maintenance, will begin a crack sealing project Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, on neighborhood streets located generally between F 1/2 Road and Patterson Road and between 30 Road and 32 Road. The work is part of the County’s ongoing pavement maintenance program to preserve roadways and extend surface life.

On Dec. 9, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously adopted a thorough and strategically aligned budget for the fiscal year 2026, highlighting a substantial investment in excellent services, infrastructure, and long-term financial health.

On Nov. 25 at the administrative public hearing, the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved the final 2025 budget amendment for this year, authorizing additional revenues and expenditures before the 2026 budget adoption at the Dec. 9 public hearing. Amendments to the budget include recognizing new revenues and authorizing appropriations based on new information.

A public assistance fraud case investigated by Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) and referred to the District Attorney’s Office has concluded with guilty pleas and a significant restitution order.
