O-16 Bridge Replacement Project gets underway
Mesa County began a bridge replacement project at O Road and 16 Road in Fruita on Oct. 7. The project will operate Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is anticipated to be completed by spring 2025.

Behavioral Health cuts ribbon on new office space

No Burn Advisory extended due to air quality concerns 10-07-2024
Due to air quality concerns, Mesa County Public Health has extended a No Burn Advisory. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period.

What is the Lighthouse Program?
The Lighthouse Program partners with youth who are at risk of dropping out of school, getting involved in criminal activities, or struggling with substance use. Our goal is prevention through comprehensive support, services, and education, both for the youth and their families. By integrating internal and external resources, including restorative justice practices, we aim to help families implement lasting changes to avoid system involvement. The program collaborates with various community agencies to ensure individualized support. Together, we strive to make a difference in our community.
