Mesa County began a bridge replacement project at O Road and 16 Road in Fruita on Oct. 7. The project will operate Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is anticipated to be completed by spring 2025.

On Friday, Oct. 4, Mesa County Behavioral Health officially moved into its new facility at 551 Chipeta Ave. Community leaders, local officials, and key partners gathered to celebrate the expansion of services to address access to mental health and behavioral care needs of Mesa County residents.

Due to air quality concerns, Mesa County Public Health has extended a No Burn Advisory. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period.

During the C9 Water Conservation Summit, Mesa County Commissioner Bobbie Daniel had the opportunity to tour the Roaring Judy Fish Hatchery in Gunnison County. This hatchery is home to Colorado’s largest kokanee salmon spawn and is critical in the state's fish population management.
