When you spay/neuter your pet, you actively manage overpopulation in our community and help ensure all pets have access to the five freedoms. Mesa County Animal Services partnered with local veterinarians to offer spay/neuter vouchers to qualifying Mesa County pet owners through Sept. 15, 2024, with the help of the Animal Assistance Foundation’s (AAF) generous funding.

At the April 30 public hearing, the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mesa County, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and the Federal Highway Administration — Central Federal Lands Highway Division to start the process of the 18 Road Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) project.
