The Lighthouse Program gives back to local communities

This Thanksgiving, the Lighthouse Program was able to gather donations from the Fruita Stake of the Church of Latter Day Saints to give back to the community. On Nov. 26, 2025, the Lighthouse Program gave away 40 full Thanksgiving dinners — including turkeys, sides and desserts to families in need.

Coffman Road is fully open north of Whitewater, where our teams have been working since March 2025 to widen and replace the road. The road upgrade spans from slightly north of Hookless Boulevard to the Old Spanish Trail trailhead.

Funds approved for 16 hardware and software services utilized by County

At the Nov. 25 public hearing, the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved the 2026 projected annual maintenance payments for software and hardware used by Mesa County, in the estimated aggregate amount of $2,512,378, and authorized IT to pay the invoices.
