Participation in the Lighthouse Program is voluntary and aims to provide advocacy, support, and services to at-risk youth who may otherwise become involved in mandatory systems, including truancy court, municipal or district court, the juvenile justice system, or the child welfare system.

Software implementation agreement approved for Assessor's and Treasurer’s Offices
The Mesa County Assessor’s Office and Treasurer’s Office will soon see improved efficiencies after the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved an agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc. for software update solutions for both offices totaling $643,750 plus a $180,000 annual fee. The agreement was approved during the March 25 administrative public hearing.

The Coffman Road Phase 1 Project begins to widen road
Beginning March 31, 2025, Mesa County and Mountain Valley Contracting, Inc. will be performing road construction to widen and replace Coffman Road just north of Whitewater. There will be a full road closure on Coffman Road in the project area for the duration of the project. The project is anticipated to reach completion in October 2025.

The Ponds disc golf course is temporarily closed
The Ponds 9-hole disc golf course located at the Clifton Nature Park, 3227 D Road, will be closed from today, March 26, through Wednesday, April 16, 2025, for Mesa County Noxious Weed and Pest and Facilities to complete drill seeding with native grasses.
