Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory from Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. until Tuesday, June 9 at 9 p.m. due to fire danger. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

Grant ratified to support Mesa County Justice Center expansion

The Board of Mesa County Commissioners ratified a $715,000 grant agreement during the Jan. 28 public hearing that the Colorado Judicial Department Underfunded Courthouse Facility Cash Fund Commission awarded Mesa County for the design of an expansion of the Mesa County Justice Center.

County parks and grounds maintenance contract approved

During the Jan. 28 administrative public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a $171,481 contract with Grand Mesa Landscape Maintenance to provide parks and grounds maintenance at various locations across Mesa County in 2025.

Mesa County Landfill to reduce two disposal fees at the beginning of February
