Mesa County Assessor explains protest process for valuations of real property

This month, the Mesa County Assessor, Brent Goff, announced that the Assessor’s Office would conclude the 2025 reappraisal and mail Notices of Value (NOV) to all taxpayers on May 1, 2025. The NOV reflects sales, other data, and analyses from Jan. 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. Taxpayers are encouraged to study their NOV carefully, as tax bills will be based on this Actual Value next January.

Mesa County purchases hot mix asphalt for road and bridge upkeep

Last week, during the April 29 public hearing, Mesa County Commissioners approved a $97,000 contract with Kilgore Companies (doing business as Elam Construction) for 1,000 tons of hot mix asphalt.
